VINYL GRIP SCREWS
For a screw to really hold in vinyl, it is essential that it has the 10° trailing angle of our Vinyl-Grip series. A 35° thread-leading edge is also necessary to form the "wedging pressure" that provides maximum hold and minimum pull-out, even with continued vibration and movement.
"Wedging-pressure" is formed by the initial "bite" of the thread angle, the relatively greater amount of material gripping area, now pressed tightly against the 10° trailing edge of the thread forming an actual wedge that jams the screw-shaft into the vinyl with greater rigidty
JAMB ADJUSTERS
Jamb Adjusters consist of an oversized Phillips screw and a plastic insert bushing. The bushing is inserted into the jamb and the screw is threaded into the bushing. The screw can then be adjusted from inside the window to align the jamb for a perfect fit during installation.
